To enhance the competency standards of Indian Seafarers and to upgrade their skills in order to improve their employment potential and to further garner the market Share for Indian Seafarers in the Global Shipping. 

To impart:

• Quality maritime education to the Seafarers,
• Upgrade their practical skills using Hands-on skill development techniques, and 
• Providing realistic environment for practical exercises in real-life environment using full mission Simulation-based programmes,

FOSMA established its Maritime Center in the National Capital Delhi Region at Noida in 2012. This Center is located on a 1360 sq. m plot with built up area of over 30,000 sq. ft. on Ground plus four floors. FOSMA is conducting DGS approved post-sea Competency, Modular & Simulator-based programmes at this State-of-the-art facility.

This facility is located just 10 minutes’ walk from SECTOR 59 NOIDA Metro Station. It is equipped with most modern full mission Simulators covering the entire range of DGS approved Simulator Courses. Most of the Faculty have more than 15 years of experience in providing Competency Programmes. 

In a Comprehensive Inspection Programme (CIP) conducted by Indian Register of Shipping in May 2023, the Institute was awarded “OUTSTANDING” A1 grade. The Institute is also ISO 9000-2015 certified by Indian Register Quality Systems on 15th February 2021 and is valid till 26th February 2024.
