In pursuance to the International Maritime Organisation’s (IMO’s) Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watch-keeping for Seafarers (STCW) Resolution 14 of STCW 2010, titled “PROMOTION OF PARTICIPATION OF WOMEN IN THE MARITIME INDUSTRY”, and in general to promote women in the shipping sector, the Board of Directors of FOSMA Maritime Institute & Research Organisation decided to give 50% discount to women students for all courses run at our Institutes, w.e.f. 01.01.2014.
